Coming events for The Australian Gaelic Singers

2008 has whirled past.

Our plans for this year included a drive to increase our membership, but there's always room for more ! So if you or someone you know may be planning to join us someday, 2009 might be the perfect time !

Please note that we changed our rehearsal venue this year:
it's at the Argyle Centre Hall, at 33 Blaxland Road, Ryde. (There's a map here.)
Our rehearsals remain on Thursday evenings, from 7:30 to 10 pm.
New members are always welcome. We only ask that if you're planning to visit, you contact us ahead of time so we can plan to include you in our evening.

We have introduced scheduled dates for new members to join us, intended to ease the whole process both for new joiners and for existing Singers. If you want to join, please contact us and we'll advise of the next intake.

	*The Highland Gathering, St Andrews Day* We've chosen not to participate in the musical performances of the St Andrews Day celebrations this year. Open-air performances are problemmatic for an a cappella group, so we've decided not to struggle with it. BUT we'll have a stall at the event throughout the day, and will be gathering to sing in our own marquee. (Look for the banner saying "Fàilte oirbh uile!" -- "Welcome to you all!") As usual, we'll also be offering workshops in traditional Gaelic singing. You'd be welcome to come and spend some time with us.
